The food was, as usual, very good. The chef's menu with bavette was great, and my wife enjoyed her risotto as well. We were served by a friendly waiter, but you could tell that the waitress at our table wasn't really comfortable. Maybe it was because we brought our two kids, or perhaps it was her first job. But she didn't make us feel welcome, especially when I asked for an espresso and she replied with "are you sure?". We knew we were on the first shift, and that's fine. But we still had time, so there was no need for such rudeness. I'm glad my wife told me this when we were already outside.
You'd better make a reservation in advance (preferably by email I heard) and it will be worth it. A bit higher in price, especially the starters but the recipes on the menu are really delicious.

It's very easy to mess up preparing a fish dish, but the cook here cooked the fishes exactly right. Highly recommended
Very good food! Nice people. The only drawback was that the Ameland Triple was sold out.
Very good food. They did manage a vegetarian surprise menu even though I hadn't booked it in advance. Recommended to book in advance. Very friendly and professional staff.
