Kunstwerk: Wachten op hoog water (Jan Ketelaar)

Artwork is not quite my taste, but a beautiful place to walk around.

Here you will find peace and space, land and water, sometimes washing water, reclaimed land, fresh sea air. The image also emphasizes the insignificance of man .... unable to turn the tide in the long run.

In the midle of nowhere these 2 ladies are looking towards Ameland on the Zeedijk. That makes you curious

Nice place to get a breath of fresh air during a walk on the dike and enjoy the view over the Wadden Sea.

We wanted to visit the artwork during our tour. It reminded me a bit of Mennesket ved havet near Esbjerg, Denmark. The images can be seen from a great distance and we thought it would be very nice to admire them up close. Unfortunately, the road there is closed to traffic. We eventually found a parking space along the road, from there it would be a 15 to 20 minute walk. Part of the route was along a busy N-road with a bend. With small children we didn't think that was such a good idea and we dropped out. Unfortunately.
