So unfortunate that my grandmother came back from upset from Diverse Pluimage last Tuesday the 23rd. So far she has made some really nice purchases there, such as her Blundstone boots. Last year she bought a beautiful rain gauge of very thick glass here. She was very happy with it, because she thought it was a real asset to the garden. As with everything she is very happy with, she is very careful with it. (Her Blundstone boots still look like new :) Last winter season, the rain gauge was therefore thickly packed in kitchen roll in the attic. Her surprise was so great that it had to be shared with five family members that she suddenly saw the bottom of the rain gauge on the ground in the garden last week. She didn't understand how that was possible. After everyone advised her to just go back with the broken glass and explain how she found it, she gathered all her courage last Tuesday and went back to the store. There she was told that she really must have broken the glass herself. She could get a new one, but just had to pay for it. When she expressed her outrage at the fact that she would never come back with something she had broken herself, she was offered a discount of 1.95. Unfortunately, this means she never wants to go to this store again.
