Very impressive piece of history in the Netherlands. What young and old must have seen. Only not accessible by car. From the parking lot 2.7 km nice walk through the woods. When you walk back via the cycle path, you will be informed of the facts and events. Every 100m an old sleeper with a sign with a date and how many were deported at a time. Camp free entrance, unfortunately remembrance center closed due to corona

Sad to be in a place where so many people have left for death. It is nice to see how they pay attention to it and how we become a little bit part of what they must have experienced.

Very impressive despite a partial corona closure. The long walk before you are on the actual site unnoticeably absorbs the experience

Good to pass on, so that it is not forgotten.

The camp is an extensive site with hills showing where the barracks once stood. There is a small part of a barrack so you can imagine what it looked like. Scattered across the site are photos and posts telling a story. There are also parts of the fence, a watchtower, a potato bunker (not accessible), the national monument and freight wagons with which the transports were carried out. The former administration building / house is covered with a glass building and is still largely original (not accessible). Outside the camp site is a memorial place where the crematorium once stood. Here it is indicated with posts and steel doors where the building stood and there are monuments of those executed. Furthermore, an officer bunker (not accessible). Even further away from the camp site are the remains of the water purification system, the cemetery (nothing to see anymore) and the former camp farm (leftover rubble). There are no information boards here (which is a shame) and not worth the long walk (luckily we were on the bike). All in an impressive location. We spent 2 hours at the camp itself.
