Armenkerk

Interesting historical building which served from 1842 to 1953 as 'Poor people's church. Poor citizens from Gouda didn't dare going to St. Jan's church and also couldn't understand the service there... They found a place here. Upon registration and regular visiting, the parishioners would also receive a slightly higher allowance which also boosted the popularity. Now serves as a normal residence, not open for visits.
