School is struggling with a shortage of students.

A nice school with a lot of personal attention. I have very good contact with teachers, but also with the director. They are open to questions but also to things that are not going well. Every time I am surprised by the quick actions that are taken when needed. As a parent I am taken very seriously. There is not only attention for and emphasis on skills such as arithmetic and language, there is also a lot of attention for cooperation between children themselves and also subjects such as music, manual labor etc. The great thing is that a lot of math and language activities also come back in creative activities. My 6 year old son never thinks it is boring at school and he thinks it is great that he is allowed to do things that he himself thinks is fun and challenging. Children themselves are well listened to. The great thing about it is that he also learns a lot that way! A good atmosphere, because children almost all know each other, there is a lot of contact between the children from different groups during joint activities.

This school is great. My children attend school here from grade 1. Now they are in groups 3 and 6. The biggest plus of this school is that they do so by doing so. teach Jenaplan education to work very well together and to think about why and how. I also notice this when my children play together with other children in the neighborhood. They rather think of other children and play better together. They are rather looking for solutions. My children are also used to working together. And with each other, then together with groups 3,4 and 5 or together with groups 6,7 and 8. They know that they are once the youngest, the middle and the oldest. My oldest being has already gone through this process. He was the youngest happy with the elderly who could help him, but he was just as happy as the oldest he could help another child. The population of the school is also a good reflection of society in the Netherlands. The school is very nice and pleasant for the parents and certainly for the children.

My experience is that Jenaplan 't Vlot is a good school with good, involved teachers. The masters and teachers are well aware of the learning performance and the talents of each child in their class. Children are approached for their talents: diversity is appreciated. If a child needs extra challenge, it is offered quickly and well. And if a child needs extra explanation, the teacher will quickly take action. With a weekly task, children learn playfully, but also in group 3, to take responsibility for what they do. And as they grow older, responsibility increases, without becoming burdensome. My experience is that the teachers and the director are very approachable about the course of events and areas for improvement. This school is highly recommended due to the quality of the teachers and director who create a good atmosphere at school.

When our son was 3 years old, it was time to choose a primary school for him. We have visited a number of schools in Gouda. After a very warm welcome from the director, a good conversation and a tour of the school building, we immediately knew for sure: it would be this school. Because it is a small school, everyone knows each other. For example it is very nice to see that children know from grade 8 our son and his morning cheerfully greet. Why should others also opt for Jenaplanschool Het Vlot? Good education, nice teachers, a good atmosphere within the school ... in short, a nice school!
