I have been training at Kinonagare for many years. The atmosphere on the mat is very relaxed and pleasant. No macho behavior or competition, only mutual respect and an emphasis on the pleasure of practicing Aikido. The lessons of Theun are interesting and even after years of practice there is still much to learn. There is also a regular opportunity to practice abroad for those who want to. Sometimes there is a firm practice during the training, other times there is more space in the background of the martial art and deepening. All in all a very nice place to study Aikido and develop yourself

If you are just starting out with Aikido and are looking for a school where Newbies are welcomed and admitted without intimidation, Kinonagare is a dojo that should definitely be on your list for further investigation. The lessons from Theun are fun and interesting, and from the first lesson you learn from your colleague Aikidokas just as they learn from you. Wonderful group of people!

Nice dojo, good attention to the why and the backgrounds of Aikido. Close to the "roots"
