Pub the Hooykist

I just ordered from this pub and let me tell you something - THEY ARE AMAZING! Got the vegetarian burger + fries, absolutely delicious and on top of that pickles and grilled veggies FOR FREE. Very tasty food, fresh veggies and amazing service.

The latest adaptations are not the best. All surfaces are now smooth and do not absorb sound. But that they have taken bottled wine off the list and replaced it with one sort "merlot" in a caraffe is unforivable. That particular merlot is vile. Won't be going there again.

Great atmosphere, great selection of drinks and food and the staff made me feel at home immediately. And a rich history by being the oldest pub in Leiden!

Very basic pub. Food is ok. Quite busy, due to that the staff don't pay a lot of attention to you. Got the wrong order served, but the staff handled it well. Wouldn't visit it again, as it's not really worth the price.

Authentic feeling and sons very tasty beers!
