I had booked this workshop by telephone through Gert-Jan. When booking I asked for some information, including how many people were already registered for that day and how many people there would be to guide the sculpture workshop and of course what the costs were. The costs were € 65 per person and if you want to work as a couple on 1 image, you also pay € 130 plus another minimum of 30-40 euros for the stone. There would be 6 people anyway plus we what makes 8 people in total. In addition, there would also be 3 people who are students who join the group. So there would only be 1 supervisor for 11 people. I asked if this was possible and if that was not at the expense of the quality of the lesson. It was promised that this would be all right and I booked the workshop for two people and mentioned that it was good business. The day before the workshop, Gert Jan calls the supervisor of the workshop to report that he was hurt by my remark and on which I had based my finding. I explained to him that I was totally surprised that he was hurt anyway and that this was not my intention. I explained that I thought it was smart that it was just a good business model and that with the € 65 pp plus the stone that the student also has to buy himself, only work materials and a lunch can be seen as costs and that with 6-7 times as many a group as these materials you naturally have these materials long and wide. He did not deny this and felt so insulted that we could not come to the booked workshop while we had already booked a hotel in the area of ​​Art in the Polder and had already incurred costs. If, as an entrepreneur, you cannot stand a customer who has an opinion and mentioned some facts and analyzes a business model, then you are really living in the wrong time. A professional entrepreneur would be proud of such a remark and realize that he does indeed do business smartly while he can also carry out his passion.
