I came with my 2 daughters for the performance "Rose en Eierkoeken". We paid 19 Euros for 3 tickets and only watched half of the performance as the performance is not compatible with the age of 5: - "Liposuction here we come!" - "Ik voel me niet happy" and other dutch words replaced with English which my 5 years old daughter didn't understand. -A hand of the "Knopje" sliding over the hips of the Assepoester -the mother in law saying "Kus, kus je weet waar". Where then?? The break happened right after the Assepoester received a letter that her dad died in a car accident and the evil sisters found it funny right in front of her. That is just cruel and sending us to the break after this episode with no explanation is not good and not for 5 years old public. We did not join after the break as the performance inappropriate for kids. I go to the theater a lot and setting a right age limits when it comes to children is critical. I wrote a complain to the administration. I had to call to remind about my complain as I didn't get any reaction at all in 9 days. After the call I got an answer in 2 days, they explained it this way: "It was clearly stated that the play was written and directed by ROtheater, who are well known for a certain style and humour. This play was suitable for different ages and we chose therefore to classify it as a ‘familievoorstelling’." I didn't hear about ROtheater before and it is not known to me for any humor. Further none of my questions or concerns were replied. How is 5 year old child should find hilarious that the father is dead (that was shown very realistically through the light theater box and shadows), the sisters are laughing in front of her and the mother-in-law is commenting that she is a new owner of the house. I do not recommend anybody this theater and I do recommend ROtheater to reconsider their age limits to 10+.
