The 1931 house of architect Gerrit Rietveld is a continuation of his ideas of neoplasticism (De Stale). It is his vision of housing as an ordinary person, which was extremely unusual for that time, and quite real and ordinary for today (after more than eighty years!). For inspection, the house is available with a guided tour on certain dates (on the site), but very rarely. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in architecture or wants to see one of the most significant buildings in architectural history, not as significant as Schroeder’s house, on the contrary, but still
