The summer before my girlfriend and I were going to study at THIM we went to visit the school where we already met our teacher, a very friendly women. She explained everything to us! Based on this experience we decided to sign up to study at THIM. Once school started we all of the sudden had a different teacher because the one ''promised'' to us got fired. No one in the class knew what was happening but everybody kept there mouth shut besides my girlfriend, she e-mailed the teacher saying that it was very unclear to follow. After studying here for 2 weeks we found out that this was NOT worth the money because everyday I traveled hours just to come home to not knowing what to do. The funny part starts now, school told me that if I wanted to quit I had to talk to my mentor who was also my teacher. I talked to him and told him exactly what I wanted to do (to stop) and he told me to just let the board know which I did. The board claims that it has all been my fault because you do sign a contract at the beginning of the year and now they try to charge me every month. I was 21 years of age at that time, I signed a contract based on the experience that was given to me by the lady who was fired and within the first 2 weeks I raised the alarm saying that this was not a correct way to study. Eventually it turned out that only 6 out of the 20 people went to the next year and from that 20 there where like 6-7 people who where doing the year again. The customer and student service is very superficial, they will be there for you as long as you pay and don't complain. I find it very pathetic that they still try to charge me all this money while they are the ones not to fulfill the needs that was portrayed to me after signing. DON'T GO. NIET GAAN.

Terrible school, send my kid here and they hated it. They painted a whole picture of how the school was going to be but it was everything BUT. They try to overshadow the flaws by drinking at there own bar. However, NO flaw will help you get out of the CONTRACT that you signed. So, before you start the school, they make you sign. Every young person will sign since they will portray it to be a great school. However, when you discover that the school isn't really that great after a while, your voice will not be heard, quitting is an option as long as you keep paying;) Teachers get fired here and there and people who work there in other area's come and go. Utter disgrace to treat young people with a death-contract. THIM, ruining lifes by false promises and harsh contracts and a TERRIBLE lack of communication.

In brief. Impersonal. Unorganized. Empty promises. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing because everyone speaks to each other as regards promises, commitments and pledges. Yes it is a college education and yes you will have to work hard for it yourself but if you ask for help you will be sent from the cupboard to the wall and everything will be pushed off as a student's mistake. A REAL ADVISER !!

THIM is a very fine, transparent program with very adequate teachers. There is an open and pleasant learning environment, where you are prepared for practice at a high level. I do part-time myself, which means that you can choose to follow the theory lessons on Monday or Wednesday evening, these are quite tough but the information is built up gradually and clearly, making it understandable. The teachers are available at all times for questions, so you feel that you are really being helped. On Friday I have practical lessons where the skills and practical situations are taught. Here too, the structure is very clear, an easy entry level and together with teachers with a lot of practical experience, it is gradually built up to the level required to participate in practice. In terms of organization, THIM feels like a family, you can ask questions to anyone and there is adequate action or referral. All in all, I would recommend THIM van der Laan to anyone who has the passion to become the physiotherapist of the future. The developments in the profession are taken into account here and you are well guided during your studies.

Think carefully before you go to this school. I have almost graduated myself and would like to share my experience. The school says it is small-scale with a lot of personal guidance / attention. I only really noticed this during the initial interview at school (also logical, a sort of introduction interview) and during my first year. The latter was really only due to the wonderful teacher and mentrix I had back then. When you get another teacher (often for a whole year), which is also your mentor right away, and it is not a pleasant, knowledgeable teacher / it doesn't click ... then you are out of luck. From my mentor in the last year I have had very little or no guidance and congratulations could not even get off when I did my graduation research. What I also noticed was that many good teachers had to leave the building (due to dismissal?). The 'exact' courses were given by teachers who, in my opinion, were never properly trained in teaching, and had a reasonable knowledge of the courses, which I never expected (in view of the high costs of this course). I have not noticed much of a small scale: in recent years, the school has been entering into more and more ties with external companies, which means that we as students have less and less space (literally). At one point there was no longer even a room for quiet study, which means that I have often been sitting in the sports room among the devices, with a creatively designed workspace (seats and table looked up elsewhere and put there, not ideal). Premises disappeared and were prepared for goFysio. The facilities for eating or drinking soon disappeared from the school and at the second location (where you often practiced for a long time) there was nothing left to get, except from the vending machine. I sometimes noticed the personal character of the course: the conversation with the canteen staff, the cleaning lady, a few teachers. If you had to be with someone who was a little higher, it was difficult. More often than not, with a meandering snarling sent away from the room where you had to be the person you needed for certain school matters. If you had too many questions or thought about it yourself, you soon felt annoying. I am very happy that I have left this school, the last times were reluctant. The feeling that I have left is definitely not what they pretended, more the feeling 'once inside, so no longer important'. It will not all be intended, but the expectations that the school itself creates do not match the real picture. With this I hope to make others think. I see beautiful slogans and wonderful reviews, which I believe may even have been written by intimates ...? (this is my idea, nothing demonstrated). Regards.
