There doesn't appear to be a lot of trees 😳 for a national Forest. But I still support nature.

Nice to walk, but boring as hell. In a few years with some more enhancements and full grown trees it can be a nice place.

The park forest itself is beautifully landscaped with beautiful water and an exciting path through the reeds. But accessibility for our family with baby and toddler was disappointing. Sidewalks have gravel, which means pushing a lot with a pram. Bicycle paths do have asphalt, but they are too narrow to walk safely with a toddler in hand. Parking is only for disabled cars. So you have to go to Kasteel de Haar. The walk there is via a busy and narrow two-way cycle path with nettles. We don't come back here until the kids are 6 or something.
