Lab26 Aperitivo Club, Lab26 Italiaanse Catering

Great food and way better (and more Italian) then any other Italian restaurant in the area. I'd recommend taking one of the menu's where you let the chef decide. In some restaurants you are served the somewhat 'leftovers' while at Lab26 you get the best! Really enjoyed our meal!

We regularly order the pizzas, and I must say they are the best in Hengelo! But going to the restaurant is not worth it at all, when we arrived there was no one to welcome us, even if we booked the table it was still dirty, they didn't bring us a menu card assuming that we would look at it on the internet, the menu card on the internet is not correct and clear so we had to change our order, the food arrived and they forgot to give us forks and knives, the caprese salad was tasteless, just hard, watery and unseasoned slices of tomatoes with a ball of mozzarella for 12,50€. We decided to try the pasta, it was obviously not fresh, small quantity but the sauce was good (15€) and the tiramisu had a very thick layer of biscuit and almost no cream (9€). The decoration of the place is also very weird, very cheap and simple and all the furnitures are for sale. We will keep ordering the pizzas on Thuisbezorgd because they're good but the restaurant never again.

The food was really good. We tried 3-course menu. Antipasti platter was quite rich and tasted delicious. Amatriciana and pizza were delish. Pizza was well cooked. They offered to have 2 flavors for the pizza which was really nice. The staff was so friendly. Fabio who is the owner is really kind. They get most of the ingredients from Italy. The only con was the wine selection was quite limited. We hope that will be improved. The interior looks really cool. There is also a store which is combined with the restaurant. It has really nice products. Overall highly recommended. Grazie mille!

This is not just an aperitif club but also a pizzeria with Italian pizza maker. Actually here you can taste the best pizza of Hengelo (and also Enschede for shure!) thanks to the good ingredients they have! Recommended!
