Family owned hotel with special flair, excellent breakfast and cute, shared living/chill-out/co-working room. Creates cosy atmosphere supported by nice and helpful staff. Very loyal guests over years. Strongly recommend.

Hotel de Waal. Actually, as a guest you should always remind yourself that you are not at home here, because that is how it feels. Maarten, Belinda, Cor (take an e-bike, you're on vacation) and the breakfast lady run one of, if not the most homely hotel on the island. We had a beautiful room with a bath, deafening silence at night and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The atmosphere here is pleasant, and the owner can tell beautifully and enthusiastically about his treasure chest with beach finds. Great base for cycling tours and island trips. The Waal is far from the busy places, but close to everything. During our stay, despite the fact that the hotel is not large, the corona measures were also taken very well into account. Absolute must.
