While I was living in Amsterdam, this was the place I usually frequented on sunny Saturdays. Usually I used to have a brunch style dish: “eggs with a toast”. The atmosphere of this place is unique, as people are chilled, modern and very friendly. The place is in one of the best areas in Amsterdam, away from the tourists craziness...

Good food, nice atmosphere

One of the best summer terraces in town. It's a mix of a beach club with a restaurant. Go during the morning for breakfast with a view and a cool breeze from the ocean. Go in the evening for some chilled music and drinks by the water. Do you have a toddler? They'll enjoy playing in the sand and gravel, finding random broken pieces of glass or nails (just look out), but for real, they'll enjoy the gravel while you have a good coffee or some good fresh foods focused on vegetables.

In a very trendy part of Amsterdam Noord, Pllek is a very cool place to hang out on those warm days and evenings as there are beach type chairs right by the water. Take in the skyline of downtown Amsterdam while enjoying a beer and burger. Great place to watch football matches too when large tournaments are running.
