Authentic and quaint historical home with a tour by passionate volunteers

Small, quirky house museum showing a typical home in its original state from the 1920s. Only open on the second Sunday of each month. Don't expect a slick multi-media museum with a cafe and toilets. The volunteers live in the neighbourhood and they offer a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm on the conducted tour. Every donated household item has a story. Great for kids to see what life was like before TV and computers. Interesting film on the flood that devastated the area in January 1960.

Amazing experience. Had been there once but then it was different. Nice museum about (my) garden village Oostzaan definitely worth it. Open a Sunday in the month.
