Managed to make it just in time before it closed for a 2 year renovation. It is very informative and you are able to search up names of possible family members by entering either their name, surname or town into a computer system. There it will tell you if they were sent off to a concentration camp and whether they died there. Perfect museum thus for people doing research on their families.

THE MUSEUM WILL BE CLOSED ON FEB 2nd 2020 UNTIL 2022 FOR REFURBISHMENT. Staff told me this museum will close, but memorial across the street will remain open. This is good news, since there museum definitely needs an update. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the place, but the place is quite small and it doesn't present a coherent history of the Holocaust in the Netherlands.

A poignant and thoughtful experience. Plenty of time to browse the photos and fragments of the shattered lives of these people. The history of the location itself. Staff more than willing to talk you through

Small, can do it in about an hour. But make sure you go. Fantastic exhibits. Also, you get to stand in the courtyard they used to lift children over the wall to sneak them to safety. Sort of surreal, in a sad, but beautiful, way.

It needs some renovations. Apparently it is planned. But the exhibitions are good and moving. S
