Good shoes and nice shop

Unfortunately a very bad experience with the customer friendliness of this store. Last Saturday I went with my girlfriend to return her shoes that she bought last Tuesday. The straps were torn. Actually, before we could tell our story, the lady there said in a slightly too loud voice that she could not do anything and that we could not get a refund. It felt as if all the walls were being built and all the shutters closed in no time. The lady became increasingly angry when we pointed out to her that if the shoes could not be made, we were legally entitled to a money back. The shoes had to be sent and assessed in an understandable way. Had this been explained in peace, we would have been at peace with that. Anyway, the lady did not want any further discussion, so they had it sent with a note that we preferred a refund. After the shoes came back, another, not too friendly, woman actually wanted to enforce a voucher because this was their policy. This while in consumer law it is described that you as a consumer, if the product cannot be repaired, do not have to settle for it. With a lot of effort, my girlfriend has now got her money back. For her, the message felt like here you have your money and never come back. I find it incomprehensible that in this time when the physical stores are experiencing fierce competition from the internet (where the service is okay) such customer-unfriendly staff is placed in stores and that the policy is to push vouchers through customers' throats
