The idea was to go to the sauna on a Sunday. Relax and don't think about anything. The infrared sauna, which was indicated on the website, was music to the ears. Once arrived, the entrance was a door at the back of the hotel lobby with a light flickering sign saying 'open' next to it. One of the snack bars, but hey, if the spa would be very nice, a sign like that doesn't matter. We were welcomed and shown around. The white door at the end would lead to the wellness. I opened a door and came into a tiny space with a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and a cubicle with buttons, the infrared sauna. It was not at all what we expected but still quite positive because we wanted to relax. But when it turned out that the infrared sauna was not working, which the receptionist seemed to know, and the people swimming in the sauna could be heard, our mood had changed. In addition, the maintenance was poor, a lot of lime in the showers and the pool could use a turn. We are sure that we will never ever come back here.

On Friday, November 6, 2020 we had a nice day of swimming and sauna with his 4th. What I really liked was that it was extremely quiet because of COVID-19. They only allow a limited number of people due to the strict COVID-19 rules. That is why it was almost completely private which was really nice. This way you can really relax after a busy work week. Very nice that we were allowed to use swimwear in the saunas and swimming pool. We ourselves had been in the Turkish steam sauna and the Finnish sauna and swimming pool.

Beautiful Spa located in the Fletcher Hotel Spaarnwoude. Due to the hotel guests it was mandatory to use swimwear in the pool. We were allowed to choose the saunas ourselves whether or not swimwear, but swimwear is always the best. Very nice because of COVID-19 only a limited number of people are admitted, so it was almost completely private.
