In terms of appearance of the Hotel room I give a 5/10.
At check-in I was given the choice whether I wanted to remove my laces from my shoes, or to take my shoes off, had to wait a long time in the lobby before I could enter my room.
Mattress felt a bit hard but can still continue with it (now have Hernia). Room service came quite late, around 6pm while I checked in at 12:00. Spaghetti Bolognese was unusually gruesome. Scary vermicelli sprinkled on top with spicy sauce (don't even know if it was halal but said bismillah). Tasted better than Vapiano, 9/10. I also got cloudy water to drink, I don't know if it was milk, but could be better. When I had to check out I got my shoes back in a nice white plastic bag, only I never saw my laces again. It is a pity that I got a shuttle bus from Polderweg as transport, but had to take the metro on the way back.
Overall a reasonable hotel for the price
The checkin only lasted a bit long, but had a nice private room on the 5th floor.
A minus point is the frozen cheese sandwich for dinner and the TV that only has a discovery channel.
As a plus again that luggage was stored neatly and safely for you!
Overall highly recommended if you want to have a unique experience in Amsterdam
