How we enjoyed delicious cutlets and steak with mushrooms and onion tonight. Delicious potatoes with fried bacon and a delicious salad with pieces of fruit in it. The takeout went perfectly. Well packaged and still warm before we got home in the outskirts of Ruurlo. Definitely worth repeating.

Of course it can happen that you accidentally serve beer bottles that are out of date. It may also happen that not all the bread, which is on the menu at the "Tip of the innkeeper" as a bread assortment, but consists of only one type, is not all fresh. Of course it is a choice to offer a simple dish as a bouncer at your refined conference center for a price that is more than 25% higher than in the very luxurious and atmospheric Orangery at Castle Ruurlo (1 km away). However, it is poor hospitality if you lure the guests to your little terrace by posing as a customer, by questioning a negative opinion of a customer and then disqualifying it by claiming that you are not used to negative comments "here" are. It then becomes downright rude when you later offend the same visitors from your own terrace towards other guests. Then you are not a showcase for the Achterhoek and you earn at most your own regulars. Fortunately, Ruurlo also has a terrace that is nationally in the top 10 and that beautiful and affordable Orangery. Both rather than De Keizerskroon.

In this ancient Reurl establishment you can enjoy a delicious meal or lunch. The innkeeper, his wife and their staff are very hospitable and it is very cozy and also very affordable !! We come there regularly and will certainly recommend it to everyone! I absolutely cannot agree with the negative review by Geert van der Burg below. He probably didn't feel good because what comes out of the kitchen here is just great and we have been coming here for 20 years!

Typical Achterhoeks Café Restaurant where hospitality and common sense go hand in hand. "Act normal and be very welcome!" The card offers more than it may initially suggest. The Reurlse Kroket, Doesburgse Zalm and Bokkepootjestaart are just a few homemade delicacies that are recommended. In addition, everything is affordable and both the managers and staff are friendly and hospitable. Quite simply, a good address!
