The province of Noord-Brabant has a lot of understanding for this and wants to allow the placing of memorials along the road, in the form of, for example, a memorial tile. Why a memorial tile? Then there is the memorial. A permanent reminder, but a reminder that takes the safety of road users into account. Of course, a memorial should not distract road users' attention because of its shape and color in such a way that another accident occurs. Your Foundation has taken the initiative to have a work of art made for all young traffic victims and their relatives in a place where a lot of traffic passes. A reminder for all relatives. At this place the youth are waiting for each other every morning to cycle to school together. The artwork that is unveiled here is the representation of emotions surrounding dejection and sadness, but above all hope for the future. It is special that young people have had a say in the choice of the artist and the design of the monument. I hope this memorial will be a place of remembrance and comfort for parents, friends and family of road traffic victims in general. And I hope that the monument also makes all road users who pass by here realize how important it is to monitor safety in traffic.
