Collective Grave War Victims Tilburg Hasseltstraat Tilburg Almost 3 months after the liberation of Tilburg (27 October 1944), on 17 January 1945 the Germans fired 2 grenades that landed in the Hasseltstraat, near the church. The 1st grenade caused 2 wounded, the 2nd which followed a minute later exploded between a group of people causing 12 deaths. These victims were buried together. Collapsed by war January 17, 1945 the souls of the righteous are in God's hand in the eye of fools it was as if they died yet they are at peace.
