Slachtoffers V1

Victims V1 - 1 February 1945 Goirkestraat Tilburg On 1 February 1945, a V1 crashed in the Minister Talmastraat in Tilburg and killed 22 people. In addition to these 22 deaths, 6 were seriously injured and 78 were slightly injured. The material damage was enormous: 9 homes were totally destroyed, and 7 homes so badly damaged that they were declared uninhabitable. The Minister Talmastraat no longer exists, all houses have been demolished and the entire neighborhood has been redesigned. The photos are made at the nearby cemetery. All original graves have been cleared, only this one gravestone has been relocated to a lost corner in 2002. The text on the tombstone is no longer legible. A sad story of a much sadder event.
