The Goorven is one of the Oisterwijk fens. It is a beautiful area and each fen has its own character. The visitor center can be a great place to start a walk. Free parking, opportunity to eat / drink and gather some information. In the area there is also a former forester's house that now serves as a catering industry. Cozy nostalgic interior, pleasant terrace between the trees. Usually well attended.
Some trails in the area can be a bit muddy after rain, but usually everything is easily walkable. German guests will feel at home because there is also a path that was once paved with debris from Rotterdam, which was bombed in 1940.
