General practitioner Rianne Janssen is a nice general practitioner who gives a clear explanation of her findings. However, I switched to another GP practice because I did not feel well with my physical complaints. For some time (1.5 years) I have serious shoulder complaints, which means that I regularly sleep badly and that it complicates my everyday actions (I get pain shoots when I tie laces, indicate a bottle of drink and so on for several activities). General practitioner Janssen referred me to a physiotherapist knowing that I have been with physiotherapists before. Unfortunately, my shoulder complaints are not resolved here either and I have become +/- € 350.00 lighter because I had reached the limit of my physio reimbursements. After the physiotherapist advised me to go back to GP Janssen, the GP suggested cortisone injections. I asked for a scan because I still want to know what is going on with my body since the physio treatments have not helped, but unfortunately she did not want to promise me this because she believes that when she is sure that she can do nothing more for me, she will advise me a scan. I am now at another GP practice and have had several scans. What seems? A torn tendon that has partially settled under the shoulder bone and a build-up of fluid due to irritation. A cortisone injection would never have helped with this, an operation would: Especially because I am young (25) and my tissue is intact as a result. It is very unfortunate that GP Janssen has not been able to point this out to me before, that I have walked around with a torn tendon all this time and that she has been willing to prescribe means that my body does not need at all. Again: General practitioner Rianne Janssen is a very nice general practitioner, but you will not see me here again. In addition, the waiting times are ridiculously long. I want to condone the fact that I once wait 40 minutes, but it should not be the case that it happens structurally.
