In March for my birthday I got a gold plated link bracelet from my husband and kids together with 3 links to hang on it. Bought from the Bijenkorf in Rotterdam. Completely happy with it. After less than 5 wear parts, especially the locks, started to discolour. Not showered and used normally. Since this happens very quickly after 3 months went back to the Bijenkorf to indicate this, assuming that service is provided. To my great surprise and frustration, the answer was "that this can happen with gold-plated products" and so nothing is being done about it. Policy from Lott. Incredibly ordinary! Very unfortunate because was so happy with it. So don't buy these gold plated products, the quality is very bad. You better choose a different brand, here gold plated products stay neat for at least a year, even more. For example Swarovski.
