just now Walked the barefoot path with 6 girls of 8 years old. Recommended! Nice reception with lemonade and cake with whipped cream for the children and coffee / tea with apple pie for the adults. We were walking for over 1.5 hours, including a break in between.

Have walked the barefoot path. Two adults. Was very pleasant, interesting. Well varied path. Well maintained. Much variation. Cozy reception. Nice ending. Very friendly and hospitable. Recommended for adults and children.

It is a nice path in itself, but you have to wait a long time before you get an explanation of the path and then half of the parts on the description are not there at all. The frog pool is then a total surprise because you expect that you are far from there based on the directions. A bit further on there is also a few things missing on the path (and it would have been quite handy if we had known that the only thing you missed if you cut a long loop there, the stilts that are way too high for a not super tall adult and not passable for children and a mud pool). The bit through the forest is nice, but there is no signpost and the miniscule forest paths are so dense that you do not notice your entire turn - the lawn before the break is also missing / there is no grass / it has grown over. Finally found the way back to the path thanks to google maps, straight through the bushes. On return, the Kneip bath was a dirty tub full of algae, the garden hose does not work and the pom does not work, so there is no chance to clean your feet. The only reason I give it a 2nd star is that it has the potential to be a very nice trail in itself. A little bit of maintenance and a place to clean your feet and they earn 4 or 5 stars very quickly. But like it really is not at the moment. The cake / cake on arrival was very tasty :-)
