Top restaurant
We went here a few months ago, just after the lockdown. Reception and food fine. As far as we are concerned, the cook can stay in the kitchen, he does well there. No added value at the table, but rather a detriment to the rest. Don't stop talking about things you really don't want to hear when you go out for dinner. Too bad for the other staff who do know how to deal with guests ...
We had a delicious dinner here, it's nice that there is a hotel, so that you can still enjoy a night out here safely. The day after we made a beautiful walk in the beautiful surroundings! Recommended, especially in these times when there is nowhere to go.
Not a Michelin star, but certainly equivalent. We ate a delicious 6-course menu. Fish, meat, game and vegetables, it was all fresh and beautifully prepared. We drank a matching wine, which the master chef had advised. A very hospitable and very friendly service made this delicious dinner complete. We will certainly enjoy more in restaurant Hof van Herstal.
