Unexpectedly found a prayer card of a great-grandmother that ended up at the local society, we were helped very nicely and immediately received a copy of the prayer card, we made a voluntary contribution in the box that was hanging at the entrance of the museum, still Thanks, greetings Theo and Anja Hendriks from Brunssum.
Currently a beautiful exhibition about people in hiding and resistance in Roerstreek during WWII
I visited the library of the Hieremology Association Roerstreek last week and found a gold mine of relevant books on local and regional historical information. The volunteers were also very knowledgeable and very helpful. A book produced by the HVR in 2016 is a jewel of information about the history of the Romanesque church building in St. Odilienberg.
Nice museum and excellent lectures.
Definitely worth a visit, beautiful museum and someone who is interested in genealogy (family tree research or prayer cards) is welcome after registration on Wednesday evening. Next to the Museum is the Basilica of Saint Wiro, Plechelmus and Otgerus is definitely worth a visit.
