The Elephant Valley in Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen is a nice naturally appearing habitat for the thick skinned mammals. They have an impressive troop of maybe some ten Asian elephants that are roaming around here. They can choose to be indoor or outdoors in fairly roomy spaces. Elephant babies are also born and can be observed here.
Loved the elephants, hated the fact that they had such a small place to stay in. In the wild they travel great distances, in here they can only walk in small circles. Truly sad.
Very lovely and when I visited there was a new born baby elephant
