Well worth a visit, the museum is housed in a building in the Assen barracks. Not very easy to get there & or to find it, but the collection is worth a visit! Entrance is free, so is parking.

Special place to visit history of heroes. Great to see and read how people gave their lives for the freedom of others.

A nice museum where you can learn a lot about the shock troops and where they have all been deployed. The volunteers can also tell a lot about the shock troops themselves. Really worth a visit

First, it is the most convenient to use beam path as this is the only entry or exit. Whatever your navigation says. This out of the way, the friendliness and hospitality of the staff is particularly high. The museum itself is nicely neat and well-arranged with a lot of information about the era and events surrounding this regiment. A very educational and accurate picture. All in all a top activity for people of all ages. Especially for people with an interest in the military. You do have to register at the security post.

In Assen definitely worth a visit. Extensive collection and free entrance. Do not forget about proof of your visit to the barracks.
