Until a year ago I have always been able to do it with reading glasses of +2.5. And reading is still fine. The past 1.5 years it appears that I also have trouble with TV. look. The picture becomes out of focus. The TV. is about 4 meters from my field of vision. On this I visited 2 well-known (from advertising) opticians. After the eye test I received a number of (pricey) proposals regarding multifocal glasses. On the advice of third parties and the reviews, I also decided to make an appointment with "De Brillenfabriek" in Tynaarlo. A (free) eye test was also done here. This optician thought it was not really bad with my eyes. He was also the only one to combine distance measurement with reading distance measurement. So he came to the conclusion that I will always prefer reading glasses to progressive glasses. In addition to my reading glasses, for the time being I would be happy with glasses with both lenses of +1. You read that right: +1 glasses at a distance of approx. 4 meters. No sooner said than done, I left the building with their announcement: "if it doesn't work then you are welcome to come back". Now I have purchased HEMA glasses +1. TV. watching is perfect. Super sharp. I always drove without glasses. Driving is also better with these +1 glasses. I also see the dashboard with these glasses a bit out of focus, but a lot better than without glasses. In short, "De Brillenfabriek" is a must. Not primarily aimed at selling glasses, but rather aimed at honest advice. When my eyes get a bit worse, they will definitely see me again!
