My kids are in the school. There are many positive things in the school but there are also many negative ones too. One of the biggest issue is that they are profit orientated and they are passing on many additional fees to the parents (last one was when they required all students to have their own laptop that cannot be older than 5 years and the battery should last for the full day because they are not allowed to be charged in school). Second issue is related to the first one, meaning the school does not consider neither the students nor the parents as partners. If they decide something they will push it through (see above laptop example) even though parents have valid points why things should be differently done, changed or delayed. I do not have a single occasion when they ever said that "Yes, you are right. We should do something about this or that differently. Or we was wrong". So, if you accept that school will always tell you what to do and how they want things to be done (like in 19th century German style) then probably you will have no problem with this school.(Our kids came from the Finnish education system and that is on a whole different level regarding how students and parents opinions are handled/considered) Kids fly in S6 to Crete (Greece) as European cultural trip... in the middle of summer (June/July). Yes, besides of the every evening beach visit they indeed go to some Museums too... and parents are paying for this (NOT optional, MANDATORY! 800Euro) When I was wondering why in the high season needs to be done, it was not really answered. Same was true when we pointed out that the other European school from Bergen does not do anything similarly expensive in high season tourist destination (they have also a trip but something more sensible IMHO). There are also issues with some teachers, how they NOT communicate grades or have possibility to get feedback earlier than the actual grading time but since there is "relatively" high fluctuation of teachers this can get better... the school is still young (there were so far only 2 graduating classes). If you want to get a better picture than what the school is paining about itself then please also ask some other parents too about their experiences to have a full picture.
