We only went to the restaurant and I was not satisfied with the food at all. The back yard is very nice and the service was also great.
In terms of food, the vegetarian option was below expectations given the price. The carrot risotto (a lot of potential for sweet savory taste) was undercooked, slightly cold, with no taste and so full of red chunky raw onion (could have been thinly sliced with some vinaigrette). It had cold mushy boiled whole carrots with honey (?) on top (so much potential to roast for taste and some colour).
All sidedishes (plain boiled potatoes - points for being locally sourced; cold sauteed vegetables with half chunks of raw onion) were cold.
The dessert selection of 5 (cup icecream, sponge cake, pudding, berry foam, .. something else) was nice to explore through after all the raw onion but was not made in house.
The local beer was good.
Maybe it's not the place for vegetarians...
Nice little hotel in the North. Good breakfast. Nice restaurants in the area and a small market next door. About a half hour to Groningen by bus. Clean comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff.
Spacious room, simple modern style. Beds were fantastic. Great value. Have dinner in Tafel 20, you won't be disappointed
Friendly, cosy hotel. Basic, clean rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. Great location in Norg village.
Nice hotel, very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant not run by the owners was fully booked but there are good alternatives close by. Convenience store, gas station close by, and parking over the road. Owners are very nice, the hotel is clean and well appointed. Excellent all round.
