This cemetery on the Kerkveld was part of the former Jutphaas. In the 9th or 10th century there was a wooden church in the middle of the cemetery, which was replaced in the 12th century by a stone church in Romanesque style. The church was demolished in 1820. The bottom of the church tower is still present (on the west side of the cemetery). The arched entrance gate of the building was probably the passage to the church. Instead of this church, the current village church on the Nederindseweg was built in 1819
