I absolutely advise against coming to this place. Service at zero level, complete disrespect to the guest. Yesterday, my husband, through the dirt and oversight of the employees and the manager, fell over on the dirty floor, slicing his hand. Overall, after this event, a total disregard for what happened, the husband had to ask for a first aid kit. The manager suggested that we would do it on purpose. A brazen man without tact and culture. Such people should not run a restaurant, or a bar, just clean the streets, which they can not do because they can be seen in the apartment. My husband was not even apologized for the whole situation. Scandal that we have such situations in a civilized country. I do not recommend premises or people working there.

Nice easy going bistro that serves good food and drinks. We had a lovely time here, while sitting outside. The village of Laren is a bit posh though, to say the least, but it's an old nice village, great to visit for a day away from hectic Amsterdam. Not a definite go here advice, but if you got some time to spare and want to wander of the beaten track this village and the ones around are nice and easy going. The forests surrounding the area can keep you busy for a couple of days, make sure to discover all of them as they are one of the best forest in the Netherlands. At night this little village looks almost like a fairytale and if you are lucky you might even be able to spot a Dutch television. Personality.
