Amazing place. Basic but good. Very helpfull owner, even if you need ductape.😀 Make sure to make a reservation this summer. It fils up easy. And check the Wikipedia page about this location.

We booked the small depot and were not expecting much but it was such a cool space! The beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed, including access to a fridge. The common showers and toilet shared with the tenters were fine too. The guy who runs the place is very nice and he gave us a quick tour of the fort buildings and gave us a booklet in English that described the whole water defence system. And we enjoyed watching the sheep from our little patio. A great experience.

Absolutely fantastic place to camp. Such a beautiful part of the country with fantastic views. It's quite a basic site, only two showers, one urinal and one toilet, but that's all part of the joy of camping at an old fort! The owner was really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, and gave us some good suggestions on where to go, and all together made us feel really welcome. It's a true camping experience and we'll definitely be going again.

Cosy nature camping with a view on the Loosdrechtse Plassen. Very friendly owners helping you get the most of the environment.
