The place is big and there is a supermarket and restaurant. The campsite is not good. It's dirty in the showers, everything is full of hair. The people themselves don't clean it and the staff apparently only do it once a day. There is always toothpaste and hair in the sink. It's gross. If you are there with the tent, you need the showers and sinks. The water pressure is very weak and the water drains badly. Although you pay 5min 80 cents for the showers. In addition, it is more expensive than what it says on the website. You still have to count on it.

Very clean and relaxed venue. Extremely friendly host. Grocery store on territory.

Just a heads up to anyone considering booking because of the advertised quick and convenient journey time into the City Centre. The actual journey time now is 45 mins to 1 hr as the metro from Gassperplas station no longer goes direct into Amsterdam Centraal. You have to get off a Zuid and take another metro into the city. The bus journey, if you chose to do that method, involves 3 buses to get from the site to the City and that takes over an hour. Also if you have disability/mobility issues, there are no disabled toilet/shower facilities here, not even a chair to sit on while you wait in the queue for normal showers so if you are wheelchair dependent there's no place here for you to wash in safety, you will need your own onboard facilities. Quite expensive site fees but assume that is location driven because there's not much on site to warrant the price, you even have to pay 80c for a shower too. Seems there's been thefts too including your EHU cable disappearing in the night and camping tables left out under the awning. One thing I really do not agree with is that they keep your driving license or passport for the whole of your stay even if you pay the full amount up front. Really not sure about this place and unlikely we would return especially as it us not the short hop into Amsterdam that they lead you to believe it is.

Good value for money - well kitted out campsite with spatious and clean facilities; good tent grass pitch, with electricity hook up; supermarket on site; fresh croissants in the morning 😊, what else can I ask for? Good location for travelling with dogs and/or kids. Good cycling route into Amsterdam centre ( cca. 45 min), and other spots

Great campsite 5 minute walk to metro terminus 15 minutes to central station, ideal for visiting Amsterdam. Small supermarket on site and small bar/restaurant. Everything you need is close at hand. Tokens for the shower and dishwashing can be inconvenient but otherwise I would give it 5 stars.
