Not a big museum. Permanent exhibition about the history of Huizen. Often a nice temporary exhibition.

Been to Huizen for the first time. We visited the "Cracking cold" exhibition in the Huizer museum. Seen beautiful paintings by, for me, unknown painters. But that didn't detract from the quality of the work. It was beautiful to see how atmospheric the picturesque village of Kortenhoef was represented in really beautiful, many, works of art. The subject of the paintings was a winter such as we can hardly remember today. Lots of snow, ice and cracking cold! The museum itself is not large, but is used efficiently and the employees are very hospitable and friendly. A museum with a more than nice exhibition that is certainly worth a visit. The old port is also a sight, with buildings that have been respectfully and beautifully restored.
