I brought an antique skipper that was running too fast and got it back "repaired" in 10 days. He didn't walk at all anymore and van der Wijk told me he would never ever do it again. After much asking from me and grumbling from him, the clock is finally hanging on my wall again. Old clocks stop working, old clock makers should too. I also brought an Abbot Comtoise that ran well but didn't hit. After '' repair '' it turned out that he was still walking but did not stop hitting. So I went back, the clock was disassembled and I was told the clock was not working and could not work. After months of calling to ask what could be done about it, I got the clock back in parts. So if you're looking for a clockworker, van der Wijk is your man. I went to a real clockmaker.
