Short Stay In de Hoogstraat

TREATED VERY BAD! We had made a request for 2 x 2 person room for 1 night (4 adults) 4 months in advance. The same day we will receive a notification by e-mail whether we want to reserve it and whether there are any additional questions. We answer the same day that we would like to make a reservation, but that we want to have the reservation to cancel up to a few weeks before arrival. This is because there is a small chance that one of us may still be unable to attend professionally. In response, we receive a confirmation of the booking. Payment is 100% cash on arrival. Not a word about an objection to cancellation and no general conditions are included. 3 weeks later, the B&B sends us an SMS message stating that an e-mail has just been sent to us with the request to answer it today. In this e-mail we are told that the B&B can rent the rooms for 2 nights to others, and that if we still want to use the rooms then payment will have to be made immediately. We will answer this email and indicate that we have an agreement and that it is binding. After this we receive a reply that we receive by text message that if we do not pay within 1 hour, the “unilateral agreement” will be broken because we are “not reliable”. Unless this B&B has not adhered to our agreement, we will be described as “unreliable”. Do we suddenly have to pay immediately and must we answer their e-mails immediately. Just because they themselves can rent the rooms to others who will stay for several days.

Apartment is nice if you want to discover the city with small children.

Good location near the center of Zwolle, but a bad experience with the room and the welcoming hostess Clara: In the lounge room, it is hard to 'lounge'. This room, located on the street side, is very noisy all night on Saturday night due to outgoing visitors to and from downtown and the cafe across the street. The mattresses are located on the mezzanine of an attic room, making it tropical hot in the summer and, moreover, they are covered with plastic mattress protectors, so you can drive the bed out. I will not talk about the small standing air conditioning next to the pillows as a solution against the heat. For breakfast, vouchers from Bagels and Beans are handed out in the city center, so that you are bound by the opening times of this shop. If you would like to have breakfast earlier and have not indicated this, the hostess refers to the text on the site. In her words she now had to disappoint her friends for us, because she had to spend her time buying breakfast. Hostess Clara sends an email a few hours before the agreed arrival time with the request to call her fifteen minutes before arrival, so that there is time to go to the house. Not looked at the mobile and therefore not read. Apparently, she assumes that you are in your hand all day long ... The bathrobes at the door of the room smoke to previous guests.

Very positive experience with this b & b! We were in the Loft (Suitekamer and Loungekamer) and this is definitely recommended! Very friendly reception, we were allowed to come earlier than the regular check-in time and also park our car earlier in the private parking lot. We had our own floor and had complete privacy. Wonderful beds and a delicious breakfast! Indicated in advance that we wanted to have breakfast earlier and this was no problem. A very good location so close to the center A place to remember for sure!

We were welcomed on arrival. Because my wife is 8 months pregnant and it was the hottest day of the year, we were offered a slightly more luxurious and cooler room at no extra charge. Perfect service and good thinking. We were also allowed to park the car at the back of the site. Location of b & b is perfect everything was within walking distance. And finally the breakfast was surprisingly well arranged. In short, if you want to visit nice Zwolle, this b & b is highly recommended!
