A huge collection of icons. Well categorized. Very little about the making of icons, while the special thing about icons is that they are in between art and reproduction. More about the craft would be worthwhile.

The museum has a wonderful collection. Never before have I seen so many different styles of icons together. The information is enlightening. It made me wiser, but didn't reveal anything. Better to have the experience yourself. The location is beautiful and easily accessible. Beautiful halls, setup and beautifully appropriate music. Knowledgeable and friendly employees. Not unimportant, good coffee with something nice and sweet on the side. And Kampen itself is definitely worth a visit.
