Beautiful old small village church in Schiedam Kethel. With organ. Property is beautiful and well maintained, cozy and cozy.

It is a beautiful building that unfortunately is not in a very prominent place. The church dates from the first half of the 15th century. The tower is from 1470. Of course it was a Roman Catholic church at the time. In 1573 it became a Protestant church. Soon a beech was built parallel to the central nave on the south side; this is how a hall church was created. In 1918 the 'new construction' of the church was largely destroyed by fire. Only the side wall on the north side remained intact and during the restoration the current south wall was rebuilt after the example of the north wall. The church tower sagged over the centuries. It has been written about this in the mid-18th century, but especially in the last 50 years it has become worse. My (not fully scientifically justified) measurements and trigonometric calculations have shown that the TOWER 1.70 m is in a northerly direction. In a westerly direction that is 1.10 m. The height of the tower is 32.5 m according to my calculation. The Dutch record in terms of skew, incidentally, belongs to the church tower of Bedum; that is na.l. 2.60 m from the lead. The 55.8 m high tower of Pisa is 3.99 ° tilted and 3.9 m off the lead.
