Before WWII, there was a large Jewish community in Zwolle and in fact the Synagoge moved from the Librije -now a three-star restaurant- to the current building. After the war sadly only few Jewish people were left and the building deteriorated. After a restoration, it is now open regularly for events and guided tours.
Well preserved and impressive building
I followed a course evening about 613 Mitzwot
Lecture by GNI society Nederland Israel by Hans Knoop. Unfortunately GNI east is being canceled. This old shawl of 5659 is really worth a visit.
One of the last orthodox synagogue, in the Netherlands, in very good condition.
