I called today (12-10-2020) to make an appointment from Plastische chirurgie, I asked the assistant to speak English, she answered: No, dutch and she hang up the call in a very angry way :O (the whole call was 11 seconds) This is a discriminations behavior, it's not acceptable at all. I blame her and also the hospital for this behavior. I already sent a complaint to the hospital and will continue to spread my voice...

The doctors in the Spaarne Gasthuis Haarlem Zuid are verry nice and polite, but the ambulance Personal was a disaster, they ere saying that i was faking my sickness and ol kind of things. I hate the Ambulance Personal of the Spaarne Gasthuis Zuid

Update from the 20. September 2020: The below problems were solved in the meantime in a very professional way. There is no more need for only 1 star. The treatment I got there now a few times is very good, clear explanations are given. Advice and support are offered and given. Specialty skills of the staff are great. As this is what I expect and as all problems were solved, I give 5 stars. =========================================================== Spaarne Ziekenhuids Haarlem Zuid, in my opinion a disaster. Was there today for wound care. Nurse was quite arrogant, telling me that I walked too much, well, I sit on the sofa learning the whole day, but she believed to know it better. Then she kind of ordered me to speak a proper English in a tone that I will not accept. At first, I am not responsible for her lack in English skills. Second, what will such a nurses do when someone from Texas, Louisiana, Northern. Ireland or Scotland comes? Not treating g that person because she does not understand anything. Third, I don't want to talk about the English language skills of many of your staff members. Or was it because I'm a non-national? To say it honestly: this is not acceptable in a member state of the European Union in the year 2020. And especially in a country that is so proud that they teach English as a second language from the earliest possible moment. Taking this into consideration, such a behaviour is a no-go. I will send a complaint to members of the Tweede Kamer and to the Minister for Health.

My wife gave birth in this hospital. It had to become medical birth with gynecologist intervention. Fortunately It all went well. We had to be back few days later because our baby had jaundice and we also had dealings with the ER, neonatology department and the care for the regular babies. I couldn’t be happier and more impressed by the professionalism and kindness of everyone that treated my wife and my daughter along the way. I am specifically thankful to the caring attitude of the nurses in the neonatology department who showed a lot of human support during a stressful moment for us. Joyce, Elly, Teddy, Bea, just to name a few but they were ALL wonderful.
