Cute little museum situated in a former bulb drying shed located in the charming little village of Lisse. Eight euro admission charge which comes with a free audio guide (multiple languages). Two significant downsides--the museum doesn't provide a set path to make sense of the exhibits, so the audio guide jumps from subject to subject without any tie-in or chronology. The other downside is that there is no signage in English at all which makes the audio guide even more important to get right. Unfortunately, the museum missed on both counts.

We were looking forward to learning more history of bulbs and the area. Unfortunately, even with the English audio tour, there was very little information in English. We were lucky we were with someone who could translate the Dutch museum information because the audio clips in English were more to enhance the main exhibit rather than explain them.

We enjoyed this museum. Tulips are obviously important in this area but it really brought that importance to life, and gave an interesting history. Informative and fun exhibits, and audio in a number of languages. Very friendly staff.
