The store itself is good, but I called them to ask a question and the woman that answered me just said "no" and hanged the phone after I asked if she speaks English. I just wanted to know if they take used batteries and light bulbs for disposal. She could've at least directed me to a colleague or something like that.

I know it’s not their fault due to Corona, but shopping at this already crowded, small store becomes even more unpleasant and stressful when the store requires everyone to have their own shopping cart (not basket!) and everyone is bumping into everyone in the aisles. Other AHs allow people to take a basket instead of a cart and allow 2 people to share. People working here are nice though. Anyway, I suggest going to the other AHs instead.

I just had to throw away a whole piece of seasoned salami because I put it together with a cake whose package was damaged and was leaking a mixture of sugar and liquid. But that’s only an example. At this a albert Heijn I can often find things like: - Broken eggs - Cracked, deformed water bottles - Broken ice package that will leak water, or worse again get the ice mixed with the refrigerator’s ice, which is unhealthy - Sometimes I find the fridge door open, nobody cares. What if the food rots? - Often essential goods are missing And also the personnel works in the customers area during opening times. They often block whole sectors to do their stuff, or they leave their carts in the middle. It’s already annoying with corona and with the fact that we have to use carts, but if you are in a small supermarket and you also have the personnel blocking the passage, I can get very nervous. It would make more sense to open the supermarket for shorter time (e.g. close at 7 or 8 instead of 9/10), and do these things outside of opening times.
