Beautiful small castle and grounds. Located in Nature Park Kennemerland. No dogs allowed in the Nature Park.

Close to Zandvoort circuit , Haarlem , Amsterdam . The wine pairing was good. Food that was served for our reservation at the Michelin star restaurant is the same as at the Brasserie. What’s the difference and why am I charged more? The spa is nice. The breakfast buffet was understaffed. The staff complained and we observed a pure mess of responsibilities. Hot water pots were always empty. I would not recommended this place to anyone. Deeply disappointed and paid €1300 for two night stay. There is no room service - nobody even comes to bring fresh towels or refill coffee in the room. Poor check in process. At the check out they overcharged us by €300. We choose this place for our weekend getaway - I regret this choice.

The value for money unfortunately does not match expectations. The surroundings are gorgeous and the architecture too but we were a bit disappointed to find out we would not be staying in the main domain - completely understandable but I think it would be smart to mention it previously in order to better manage expectations. The brasserie and the garden are also nice and beautiful but the garden was full of wasps which made it really hard to enjoy the drinks and relax. We ended up changing tables several times trying to escape them and we ended up finishing up the drinks really quickly so we could get back inside... The prices were also surprisingly high when checking the bill later... the restaurant was amazing : food was delicious and service was great buuut the drinks and coffee were not included which was also not mentioned before and therefore a bit surprising when the bill came up. Finally the AC in the hotel room kept making an annoying white noise even when turned off and all through the night. Staff was very available and willing to help as this was apparently “not normal” - but we had to proactively try to solve the issue as the initiative was not taken up directly and left to us.. after asking twice they tried to change us room but it was exactly the same issue in the others - no gesture was offered for the “discomfort” which was a little bit disappointing. Overall I’d say it’s a beautiful place and worth visiting but only if you have the budget for the “upper” room.
